Director of Executive Planning
"With the appropriate plan in place, you can achieve your financial goals."
"I enjoy taking on complex situations and using my legal and accounting experiences to come up with a creative solution. My ability to focus on details, combined with a strong need to understand the mechanics of everything, enables me to meet challenges head-on. Overall, I'm driven by a desire to help clients feel confident about their financial future and remove their anxieties."
Sam oversees the planning services of Vantage Financial Partners Limited and is a relationship manager, working primarily with corporate employee clients. This includes identifying their long-term goals and developing the appropriate strategies to meet them. He is a seasoned professional whose work experiences provide clients with a comprehensive understanding of the impact their actions have on their financial situation.
Sam has been with the firm since 2004, and he connects easily with clients because he shares their corporate experiences. Before joining Vantage, Sam was the Associate General Tax Counsel of Amoco Corporation and the Director of Taxes for BP Chemicals North America. As a tax attorney for 27 years, he is familiar with all aspects of business and understands the unique concerns and viewpoints of the people he serves.
Sam also spent five years in London as an expatriate executive, so he is familiar with a variety of special circumstances that should be considered when putting together a financial plan.
An active member of his church, Sam is involved in several important ministries. He teaches people to budget their money, gain financial freedom, and mentors several refugee families.
Sam received his law degree from Wayne State University in Michigan (cum laude), earned a Bachelor degree in business from the University of Michigan, and completed the CPA examination (inactive status). He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Illinois Bar Association, and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
